From: "Frank Schlicht" To: Subject: RE: [VR] I have Thrips, please help Date: Wednesday, March 14, 2007 10:49 AM Debbie: There is a very simple and quick cure for thrips, and you do NOT need to disbud, or remove any blooms. Simply put ALL of your plants in either plastic storage boxes or plastic garbage bags (I prefer the boxes). Saturate some folded paper towels with any good flying insect spray (I use RAID) and put the paper towels in each container and put the lid on the boxes, or tie off the garbage bags and leave them closed up over night. The only thing that gets harmed are the thrips, which have been euthanized. It apparently gets ALL stages, as I have NEVER had a recurrence after only ONE treatment.
