Potting Lady
Baltimore and herfamily after stripping her of her excess baggage
we can now start potting things up
This 2 1/2 " pot is filled with my regular mix pressed down gently,
then remove approximately one heaping tsp. from the center and fill
with coarse vermiculite.
I dust the dampened cut end of the "sucker" with a rooting
hormone
Press the "sucker" down into the dampened vermiculite
securely .... not too hard now it's just a baby.
We don't want to
compact the soil. Don't forget to label it. White electrical
tape is great for this and you can use it over and over again. There
are labels in most plant shops you may buy, other thrifty persons
cut them out of mini blinds.
Keep the cutting moist until.... one day you will notice it looks
"perky" then you will know without a doubt baby Lady Baltimore
has moved in!
